Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
Aignals ("we", "us") is a permission-based email newsletter. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. We keep it short because our data practices are deliberately minimal.
What we collect
- Your email address, which you provide when you subscribe.
- Basic engagement data — whether an issue was opened and which links were clicked — used in aggregate to improve the newsletter and to report anonymized performance to sponsors.
- Standard server logs (e.g. IP address, browser type) retained briefly for security and abuse prevention.
We do not ask for, or require, your name, company, or any other personal detail to subscribe.
How we use it
- To send you the Aignals newsletter and related transactional messages (such as your confirmation email).
- To understand, in aggregate, what content is useful so we can make the newsletter better.
- To share anonymized, aggregate open and click metrics with sponsors. Sponsors never receive your email address or any way to identify you individually.
Consent and double opt-in
We only email people who have explicitly asked to receive Aignals. Every subscription requires confirmation via a link we send to your inbox (double opt-in). We never buy, rent, scrape, or import cold or purchased lists.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We never share your email address with sponsors or third parties for their own marketing.
- We never add you to unrelated lists or pass your data between brands.
Where your data lives
Aignals runs on its own dedicated, self-hosted infrastructure (a self-managed Listmonk instance with a self-hosted mail server). Your data is not handed to a third-party marketing platform. Sending is authenticated with SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
Your choices
Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can manage your subscription at any time via the link in any issue. Unsubscribing removes only you — it never affects colleagues or anyone else at your organization. To request deletion of your data, email hello@aignals.com and we'll remove it promptly.
